My Approach

My goal as a therapist is to help you reach a deeper understanding of your struggles and to help create awareness in your life. My belief is once these strengths are recognized and practiced, we can begin working towards our greater potential and begin the healing process or better management of our daily life. I believe people are resilient and have the capacity to heal, if we choose to. I teach practical skills and provide tools that you, you and your partner, child(ren), and family can use every day.

 

I specialize in marriage and family therapy and addiction issues. I utilize a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an integration of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, Narrative therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, while incorporating a holistic view point of our body and mind.
